Vinner av sixpencetrofeet for andre år på rad. Er vi stolte av husets gyldne golden? JA! Jeg husker godt at da Sofie og jeg hentet Alphi 17. mai i 2007 i Eidsdal at jeg sa til Sofie: Mitt mål er at vi EN VAKKER dag skal klare å vinne sixpencetrofeet sammen. Du som utstiller jeg som fører på jakt. Og så klarer Alphi å gjøre det for andre gang, kun 4 år gammel. Alphi fikk sitt andre cert og sitt andre cacib i 2011. Hun gikk blodsporprøver, men grunnet nesemidd (oppdaget vi noen få dager etter prøven) ble det bare 3. premie. Vi har prøvd å få opprykk til klasse 3 lydighet, har vært så nære så nære, men det har blitt fire andre premier. I jakt stilte hun på tre BK prøver på fire dager. Det startet med 2. pr, deretter 3. pr., men siste dagen løsnet det: 1. premie og kåret til prøvens andre beste hund AV ATTEN. Nå trener vi for start i AK høsten 2012.

Kerenza's A Kind of Hush, Herman, 2 år, eier: Elisabeth Rabe
Har mange flotte resultater fra utstillingsringen i 2011 med flere BIR unghund resultater. Det toppet seg vel i Nordfjordeid der han ble både BIR og BIS unghund på retrieverutstilling. Herman begynner å vokse seg til og vi er VELDIG spente på året som kommer. Herman trenes også i bruks og blodspor. Kanskje det kan bli blodsporstart i 2012?
Kerenza's All Of Me, Nora, 2 år, eier: Karen J. Aalsgaard
Nora har hatt valpekull i 2011, og fødte et stort kull med friske sunne valper. Det blir spennende å se på røntgenresultater av disse i løpet av 2012. Nora og Karen trener bruks og lydighet og skal debutere i 2012. Vi gleder oss. Pelsen begynner også å komme seg og vi gleder oss til spennende dager i utstillingsringen også.
Kerenza's After The Goldrush, Karma, 2 år, eier Nina Hansen
Karma og Nina debuterte sammen i utstillingsringen i mars, og ble plassert som tredje beste unghund. Karma har oppnådd 2. premie i klasse 2 lydighet, og hun har forsøkt seg på jaktprøve. Det blir mer jakt, lydighet og utstilling på Karma i 2012.
Kerenza's A Walk In The Park, Valde, 2 år, eier Marianne Rasmussen
Valde gjør en fantastisk jobb i sitt jaktarbeid, og trener på sammen sin eier og fører Marianne. Vi håper vi får sett Valde i utstillingsringen i 2012, og måske også på prøve, uten å sette for mye press på Marianne. :-)
Kerenza's A Man Is A Man, Amandus, 2 år, eier Sidsel Lundin
Amandus tok rett og slett sitt første cert i 2011. Og ikke bare det: Han ble BIR og BIG3 på utstillingen til Moss i juli. Etter det ble pelsen borte, men den er på full gang opp igjen. Vi gleder oss til utstillingsåret 2012.
Kerenza's Abbey Road, Abbey, Kerenza's All That Jazz, Lea, Kerenza's Autumn Almanac, Oskar, lever alle tre gode familieliv der de også får brukt hodene og nesene sine til ulike oppgaver. Vi håper i hvertfall Abbey skal få seg en tur i utstillingsringen i 2012 hvis hun har pels til våren.

Vi er altså velsignet med fantastisk snille, gode og flinke valpekjøpere. Å se at alle Alphis valper ha det så bra er den aller aller beste presangen som oppdretter.

This year the Retrieverclub in Oslo have had a huntingcup. Seven competetions and the five best results counts. Nina and Karma started out before Karma was 5 months, and at the last event in september Karma was 13 months. All the same, they made it to the top three, and second place and silver medal, Nina was only beaten by her mother Karin and her golden Robin. The results through the year you find here.

We are so proud of you Nina and the job you are doing with Karma. Behind Nina on the list is many dog much older and with a lot of hunting experience. Congratulations!

Nora - Kerenza's All of Me - won the kennel's first Certificate and BEST OF BREED in Sarpsborg July 25th!!! We are so proud!!
Thank you so much to judge Sue Towers (kennel Alibren, UK) who liked Nora so much, and also to Karen who Nora lives with and is trained by, and to Alice who showed her.
Nora also did Best in show 2nd and Best in show junior. A day I will certainly never forget!

The retrieverclub in Oslo have had an unofficial obedience competetion this winter, spring, early summer, called Hønsecupen. Karma was only 5 months at the first competetion, but togehter with owner and handler Nina Hansen, they managed to win it all in the beginner class. In the picture above you see Karma to the right with her best buddies Robin and Balder. The two boys is owned and handled by Ninas mother Karin, and they did win the two other classes in the competetion. Way to go Hansen family! Results and more picures here.

Obedience-debut

This saturday Kerenza's After the Goldrush, Karma, with handler and owner Nina Hansen started for their first official time in obedience. They ended up as number three, with a 167,5 points. That is also a 1. prize, and they are already cleared for class 2. It's just fantastic good work from both of them. Earlier in May Karma and Nina also past their field trial qualification test. Way to go, Nina and Karma! We are so impressed and proud. New pictures of the two of them working will come.

BOS-junior

Today, the day after the puppies' pretty mum got certificate and BOS (best of opposite sex - BIM in norwegian :)) at the international show in Drammen, Nora is shown by co-owner Alice Enhuus (Kennel Deeside) at a retriever-speciality in Oslo. Here she wins the junior-class with CK and is BOS-junior! We are as proud as usual!
Their grandfather Trewater Tally also wins CAC and BOS at a retriever-show in Sweden today!

This is Nora's critique from judge Arne Foss (in norwegian this time, could be translated at request..):
"Ni mnd. Særdeles lovende. Vakker silhuett, fine proporosjoner, feminint velformet hode, bra øyne og uttrykk. Vakker hals og nakkebue, stram overlinje, velansatt hale. Utmerkede sidebevegelser, litt ustabil fram. Pels på gang. Særdeles velpresentert, trivelig temperament. Burde ha en meget spennende framtid."

Official show debut for 4 Kerenza-dogs!

This weekend the Norwegian retriever-club arranged a three-day jubilee show to celebrate it's 50th anniversary, ending it with a working test yesterday. Saturday we had entered Alphi, Karma, Herman and Amandus, and Sunday just Alphi and Nora. Alphi was also entered at the working test (which will probably appear later in a cross-post in the other blog). The show-judges were Malcolm Godefroy and Keith Young, latter had bitches on Saturday and dogs on Sunday, and vica-versa.
It has been an extremely sunny weekend, I'd say almost too sunny, but also a very nice one with lots of nice people, including our great puppy-buyers.
The first in the ring this weekend was Karma (Kerenza's After The Goldrush), who managed to get a fourth place in a large junior-class. Next up was Alphi, and while she was in the ring, they started junior dog-class, in which Amandus and Herman was supposed to be in! Thanks to Sissel (who owns Amandus), Nina (Karma) and Elisabeth (Herman), I did get all three dogs in the ring, but we had never done it without them! Eva showed Herman in the first group, since I couldn't run with two dogs at the time! Neither Amandus nor Herman was placed, but it was a very big class so it was not completely surprising. They were also probably the youngest in the class, and the least trained! So I'm very pleased with them anyway :)
The puppies' grandfather, Trewater Tally, won a staggeringly large open class on Saturday with CK, and Sunday I showed him to a third place with CK.
On Sunday, Nora and co-owner Alice repeated Karma's success the previous day, by getting 4th in junior-class, with CK!! All in all we are very impressed with all the puppies and puppy-buyers this weekend, and this made the weekend perfect :)

Nina and Karma are doing really well in the retriever club in Oslos unofficial obedience and field trial cups. Nina and Karma are in the lead in the beginner class in the obedience competetion called "Hønsecupen", after 6 of 9 posts, and was the judge's favorite for the second time Tuesday this week. When it started in January, Karma was just 5 months old, we are impressed big time! Karma and Nina are also doing great in the fieldtrial cup. This monday Karma and Nina visited us, for trimming, because Karma is attending the retriever special at Bogstad next weekend. Karma, Herman, Amandus and Nora will make their debut at an official show. Their mother Alphi will also be there, it will hopefully be a lot of fun!

Today we met Sissel with Amandus and Karen with Nora at a puppyshow in Tønsberg. Both of the puppies have developed quite a lot during the few weeks since last time we saw them! I'm just getting more and more proud with the puppies and their owners!
First up was Amandus in the ring. At first he thought that when I started running, that meant that he should just jump along at my side. After a few rounds however, he calmed down and trotted perfectly. Nora behaved very well from the start, and she really has a great stride! She is just so sweet all the time, Karen and Alice have done a real good job with her. I'm sorry about repeating myself, but it is a real joy to show these two!
Amandus was once again Best of breed, and Nora took best of opposite this time. After a bit of waiting, it was Amandus' turn in the ring again, and here he was also placed as the winner! It was about 7 other puppies in the group, so that was great fun! After even more waiting, it was time for the Best in show finale. At this time Amandus had really got the hang of free-baiting, he was standing in front of me and showing off like a celebrity :) The more I praised him the faster did his tail go, both him and me had a really great time in the ring! This was rewarded with BIS-3!

The judge for the day was Eivor Hofmandselv.
Amandus' critique:
"Very nice dog puppy, 6,5 months old. Correct proportions in head. Well placed ears, dark eyes. Correct bite. Well angulated front and rear. Good neck, topline and tailset. Good bone and feet. Moves freely and efficiently. Will develop more in chest and brisket. Good coat quality and colour."

Nora's critique:

A little greeting from Abbey in Søgne. She is doing fine with Øystein and Anka, and is really about to be a real teenager! No ears, forgot most of the things she could before, and doing just what she wants to. She is looking so pretty in the snow, and we hope we soon are going to see her. Tomorrow the puppies are celebrating their 6 months birthday. :-) Karma started the party a bit early, when she Sunday attended the Hønsecup arranged by the Norwegian Retriever club, Oslo. Karma and Nina got 19 out av 20 points, and is leading the "chicken-class" after two competitions. It was a very very proud breeder that watched them sunday! The results you can see here! Of course I forgot to take photos, because: Fie was at a show (where she manages to take CAC with the boxer, Mocca, who she has trained from a puppy. Hurray!)

Second puppyshow

Today Nora (Kerenza's All of Me) has been to her first show, and Amandus (K. A Man Is A Man) his second. I have not seen Nora in ages, and it was so nice to see her again! After all, she is half - mine :) She was shown today by Alice Eenhus, who I co-own Nora with. It was great to see them in the ring, Nora had a great stride and an excellent mood. Nora lives on breeding-terms with Karen, who is doing a great job with her. Thank you Karen! I'm so proud of Nora and of course all the other puppies!!
Amandus and Sissel were also present, Amandus behaving perfectly as always. He is a joy to show, so happy and sweet all the time!

Nora's critique:
"5 1/2 months old bitch of excellent type. Appealing head. Excellent neck and topline. Adequate angulations front and rear. Very good body. Effective movements. Good bone and proportions."

Amandus' critique:
"Over 5 months old dog. Good head, good neck. Good carriage of head. Well angulated and well built. Good bone and good movements. A positive puppy."

Today they were both second in their classes, one cannot win every time ;)

Today we have met up with Herman (Kerenza's A Kind Of Hush) and Leah (Kerenza's All That Jazz) and their owners. It was great to see them both again, they have changed so much! But one can still see it's them, they have the same sweet expressions :)

First puppyshow!

Yesterday, we showed our puppies for the first time! A proud moment for us as first-time golden-breeders. We had Rose/Karma (Kerenza's After The Gold Rush) and Amandus (Kerenza's A Man Is A Man) with us, and they seemed to enjoy being at the show. They both wanted to say hello to all the people passing by, fortunately including the judge :)
Amandus was first in the ring, and initially he found the floor a bit too slippery, and thought jumping around was the best way of moving. He quickly understood, however, that keeping all four feet on the ground worked much better. Rose acted exactly in the same way, and at the end of her show in the ring, was almost a meter ahead of me (much like their half-sister Cima, when we are in the ring!). Their show-career seems very promising to me :)
This time the judge preferred Amandus, and put him up to best of breed, and Rose best of opposite. Next time, it may be the other way around! Amandus was also nr 2 in the group, of 7-8 puppies. The third place was taken by Jan-Erik with the lovely am.cocker puppy Filip (Caci's CC Cowboy). We helped each other with the best of breed competitions, and both of the goldens got to try another handler! Which was no problem, being the angels that they are :)
This is what the judge said about Amandus :
"Appealing overall impression. Nice male. Correct bite. Testicles OK. Nice dark eyes. Black nose. Strong bone. Very good front. Very well angulated. Good top- and underline. Moves effectively. Good coat and colour. Very well shown when the dog has time :)"
And about Rose:
"Appealingly feminine. Correct bite. Beautiful head and expression. Nice dark eyes. Black nose. Good bone. Very good front. All-round well angulated. Very good top- and underline. Moves effectively and typical for the breed. Good coat and colour. Very well shown."So we are of course very pleased with the puppies first outing! The important thing was that they had fun, and did not care at all about being in a noisy hall with lots of other dogs, people and agility!
A big thanks to Amandus and Rose's owners for letting us "borrow" them for the day, you have very obiously done a great job with them!!

Hønsecupen 2010 - Way to go, Rose!

At the age of 5 months, Kerenza's After the Goldrush starts in her first unofficial competition, and is number 1 out of 10 in the "chicken-class" at the Norwegian Retrieverclub Oslo og Omegns, hen-cup (Hønsecupen). This cup is an unofficial obedience thing. Nina And Rose did so well, and as breeders we are really proud!! Her mother started as well. Alphi was number 5 in the "turkey-class", where Penny won, along with a toller named Gumman. Here are some photos Tormod Ruud so kindly sent us, thank you!
The three first pictures is Nina in the competetion. A part of the competition was to carry the bag Nina has in her right hand. In addition it was dogs and lots of sausage a long the way they walked. The last pictures are Alphi who did a good job, and Penny as todays obedience queen. The results and som more pictures is to see at the Oslo retrieverclubs homepage.

Here is Karma (earlier named Rose) in the hunting business with five other goldens. First you see Nina and Karma (Kerenza's After The Goldrush), after that you see all of them lined up, and in the bottom a group picture (with name of dogs and owners under). Karma and Nina was very clever, and we have to tell that it was really cold in Drøbak this sunday morning, so we was really proud of ourselfses making the training anyway.

Today the puppies are 4 months old! We have visited Sissel and Johan who owns Amandus, and later we brought him for his first showtraining in Moss. He thought being in a hall with lots of other dogs was no problem at all, his tail was going all the time!

Today we have had our second meeting, and Rose, Nora, Herman, Oscar and Amandus with their families turned up. It was great to see how much they've grown and how much they love their new owners, and vica versa!

Eva started the day with showing some basic tips on sit and stay, after which I showed some grooming tips, then it was out in the forest to try some tracking. After a pause with gingerbread-cookies and "gløgg" (english word?), Eva demonstrated fetching dummies with Penny. Before we parted, the puppies got to run with eachother, which seemed to be the peak of the day for the pups :)

We are already looking forward to the next meeting, we are so happy and proud of our puppybuyers!!

The last puppy has moved

Today Rose moved to her new family. That is Nina and Jon Erlend and their three children, Lucas, Mathilde and Johannes. Nina lives at Eiksmarka, west of Oslo, about 50 minutes drive from us. We are so happy for this new Kerenza family. The first report from Eiksmarka is that Rose is behaving very well, and was quiet all the way home in the car. She has investigated her new home, and got some new toys. She has also said hello to the rabbit that lives in the house, very exciting Nina tells us. We have begged Nina to send us some photos from Rose and her new home, since we forgot to take photos at our place.
Since Nina is the daughter of some of Evas dog friends, we will see Rose a lot. Fie is also allowed to take her to some dog shows when she gets old enough.
It was very hard to say goodbye to the last puppy. But knowing that every each of them are doing fine and having a good life makes all the difference. And for the record: Alphi is doing just fine. She has been sleeping all the time since Rose left. I think she is satisfied with the good job she has done, and very much looking forward to some time alone at ringtraining with Fie or in the woods with Eva and some dummies.

Rose and her brothers and sister were 12 weeks old on Sunday, congratulations to Herman, Valde, Amandus, Oscar, Lea, Abbey, Nora and Rose! :)

Rose came with me for her first ringtraining yesterday (at a seminar with Hugo Quevedo), and she behaved very well and did not have any problems with free-stacking and running loose on a showleash, it's like she was born to show :))

Tomorrow she is moving out to her new family!

Today we met up with some of the puppies and their new families! Valde (K. A Walk In The Park), Abbey (K. Abbey Road) and Nora (K. All of Me) could not make it today, but we will see them some other time :)

The first photos of Amandus living in Oslo. He is doing very well, and he is planning to grow up to be a big boy. Today he visited the vet and his weight was 14 kg. The vet was very satisfied with his condition, Johan tells us. We got nice reports from Johan and Sidsel about his life, and he is behaving well almost all the time isn't he? (say yes Johan and Sidsel :-)) Here is the photos we got from Johan. The other dog is Amandus big brother Baltazar, he is a from the very well know kennel Mjærumshøgda.

Yesterday we were at a retrieverspeciality in Porsgrunn, where I showed our puppies half sister Cima (Dewmist Days of Magic). The puppies are of course too young to be shown yet, but it was very good training for Nora and Rose just to be at the show. They both behaved excellently, they laid in the middle passage between the show ring and the wall, with strange dogs and people walked straight over them. They couldn't care less!

Tonight "Lea" (Kerenza's All That Jazz) moved to her new family south of Oslo, just 15-20 minutes drive from us. She is going to live toghether with Siv, Frode, Henriette and Henning. It was a very happy family that left us, and Frode held "Lea" on his lap on the way home.
Earlier today the three of them, Oskar, Lea and Rose helped Trudy out in the garden, and Rose and Lea took a rest in front of the front door.

Today Valde, Marianne and her family left us, to go home to Denmark. Marianne has been in Drøbak since Tuesday, so she has got to know her puppy, Valde, really well! They left at 9 in the morning, and arrived in Odense, Denmark, at about 7 this evening! We've got texts and photos from them during their journey, and Valde and the rest have arrived safely :-)

Today Abbey (white bitch), Amandus (yellow dog) and Nora (silver bitch) left us. It is a bit strange now, with only four puppies left here, but we think the four who have left so far will have excellent new homes :)

First out was Abbey, Kerenza's Abbey Road. She and her new mum and dad drove for five hours, and Abbey has settled in well we have heard!

Then it was Amandus' turn, Kerenza's A Man Is A Man. He will move with golden "Baltazhar" and his new "parents" and their family in Oslo.

Then, last but not least, was Nora. Or Kerenza's All of Me. She will be co-owned with me and Alice Enhuus (kennel Deeside), but live with Karen, who is almost Alice's neighbour.

Herman leaves us

Herman, formerly known as black dog, left us today, to live with Elisabeth and Georg!
We are sure he is going to have a great life with Elisabeth, Georg, Emil (Penny's half brother) and their new cat Bosse! Apparently he fell asleep after 15 minutes in the car :-)

Today we have also decided the pedigree names of all the pups! The owners have obviously chosen the petnames, the only one we've decided (although we're not sure yet) is red bitch "Rose". She hasn't found a perfect home yet, and we are looking for the right home for her, preferably not too far away from us!

Today the puppies have been through a traditional puppy test. We got help from Line and Malin. When we are placing our puppies in new homes, it is important to know ca. how their temperaments will be like. Our own experience with the puppies through this 7 weeks are the of course the most important, but this test confirms or changes some of the thoughts. Some of them are going to be show dogs therefore the exterior is equally important. All of them did a great job, and we are so proud of them! When the litter is close to 2 years old we will hopefully get all of them mental described. Then we can
compare the results with what the the puppy test showed us, and we will learn a lot about our own breeding, and dogs in general.

We only filmed this though, so no photos from that (sorry). But here are the new stacking photos we took earlier today, just when it started raining! This time I've arranged the photos downwards, dogs on the left and bitches on the right. Enjoy! :)

On thursday we visited Turid and her golden girls Bessie and Charlin (although they were refined to spectators in Turids car). The puppies had a great outing, they just loved running around the large garden and ended the day sharing Bessie and Charlin's two "BiaBeds" between them. Today Frode, Siv, Henriette and Henning visited us and the puppies. Henritte and Henning was really clever with the puppies, and it became another very nice experience with children for the puppies! The puppies have been for a drive for the first time! In the beginning of the loooong drive (7-8 minutes), it were a few complaints and "oooh, this is so boring!" 's, but after a while they all calmed down and some even took a little nap. So no big problems there!
When we arrived at our destination, we were expecting the little ones to stay close to us and take it easy a bit before exploring the world on their own - but boy we were wrong! The second we let them out of the car, they burned around like maniacs! They came back to us when we called (obedient, clever little puppies of course) to check we were alright, then went out to explore again. They just loved it!

Today we had very nice visitors and future friends, and yet another lovely sunny afternoon in our garden. Elisabeth, Georg and Emil (the 4 legged) came to visit us, to get a first look at Emil's (Deeside's Out And About) new little brother. Emil is half brother of Penny (our own Deeside's Miss Moneypenny), so we are already related :-). Emil and Pennys mother was Amirene Yonder Star - darling Jenny.
Emil is a wonderful boy, both playful and careful, 10 years of age. Elisabeth and Georg are obviously handling him perfectly..he took our breath away. Emil was such a dear towards all the puppies. It was so good for them to meet such a lovely big dog. Thank you Emil. We are looking forward to getting to know you!

On Sunday we got visitors from the southern part of Norway. The weather wasn't any good, so we had to be inside for once. Øystein and Anne Karin is living in Søgne, close to Kristiansand and had travelled 5 hours one way to get here! One of our little girls will be lucky enough to move these nice people in three weeks time. Øystein and Anne Karin have lived many years with goldens and know the breed thoroughly. We were happy to meet and getting to know Øystein and Anne Karin, and we are so happy to know that one of our babies will have the best home, in Søgne!

And in the morning we got antother visit from Mathias, Mathilde and Line. This time Mathildes friend Maria joined them for a puppyvisit.

The puppies have had their second official visit from another possible buyer. This time, Marianne, Steen and Peter. They drove over 800 km (one way!) just to have a look, Friday night and Saturday morning. And of course also get to know us and Alphi a little bit better. It has been a real pleasure to meet our new danish friends. We hope we have a good puppy for them in this litter.

Today is a beautiful sunny day, 25 Cº in September is nice! Perfect weather for the puppies' first outing in the garden. A perfect day as well, to welcome one of the dogs future owners, Sidsel and Johan, to our home. They are such a lovely couple, and one of the puppies - the blue, black, yellow or purple one, will get an excellent life in Oslo with them.
Tonje and her lovely little son Jacob also paid us a visit today, and had a look at our little ones, but left without any of them....she has more than enough to do with full time job, two kids and Cima, a lovely golden girl, who is the puppies half sister (sired by Sidney). But she sure would like a little Kerenza one as well, - who wouldn't?

The puppies are 21 days old today. We did not have time to take any decent headshots, but I took photos of them lying in the box. The light wasn't perfect, so the colour on some of them are not completely realistic!

Day 17 - moving out in the living room

It has been a big day for the puppies. Their eyes and ears have opened, and they have started playing with each other, they are wagging their tails, and trying hard to sound like grown up dogs, barking loud is a one popular exercise.

Today they have also been given more space, as they now occupy one part of the living room in a big, roomy litterbox we have borrowed from our friends Åse Marit and Roy (thank you both!). The puppies are installed in the least busy part of the room, but will at the same time be exposed to all kind of normal family noices. TV, radio, washing up, cooking and so forth. We are also starting the process of introducing the rest of the cats and dogs to the puppies, - but of course slowly and with care.

In addition to all the puppies, we have another little soul to worry about, darling sheltie Zoe gave birth to a beautiful, but dead, puppy on sunday. She has been oh so sad (as have we..), and has been crying a lot. We hoped sharing the big litterbox with Alphi would work out..and thankfully, it did. Now Zoe is functioning marvellously in her new role as Nanny Zoe, and Alphi is generously sharing her puppies. It seems like she understands Zoes grief. Anyway, they are our dreamgirls...:-) Thank you so much for letting us have these lovely ladies, Aiyana and Aud Jorun!

Some "old photos", taken 2 days ago, since then we have gained a lot of weight, our eyes are complete open, and the ears are about to open too. We have all started walking!
The two-legged have had a hard weekend. Our shetland sheepdog, Zoe, has welped, but there was only one puppy, he was too big, and died during the four-hour long birth. Zoe is fine, and borrows puppies from Alphi to get some comfort.

On day 16 the puppies' weights are:

First nail-trimming-day today! Everyone behaved very well, some even thought lying on their backs was perfectly comfortable. Some of them made loud objections at first to the nail clipping, but it went just fine after a nail or two.

I think the puppies are getting bigger by the minute, it looks like they're double the size they were this morning :) I guess that's a very good thing though!
Zoe sits outside the "puppyroom" every single second, and if the puppies make more noise then just the content eating-sounds (which are constant it seems), she gets very excited and worried!
I think it's good for her that she only has just over a week left till her own puppies arrive.. :)

I weighed them now 15-30 minutes ago, and here are their weights and what they've added since yesterday:

Da har det skjedd! Alphi har nedkommet med åtte valper, fire gutter og fire jenter. Alt er så langt bra med mor og barn. Siste fase av fødselen startet klokken 2 i natt, og siste valp ble født klokken seks. Foreløpig ser alt meget bra ut med de små, og Alphi ligger ved deres side og gjør alt det hun skal.

Vi håper at alt fortsetter å være bra med mor og barn, men man må følge nøye med det første døgnet, det er ingen garantier, men så langt. ALT VEL

Det ser foreløpig ut til at det er to tisper med mye farge, og to lyse. Gutta ser ut til å være mer gyldne (som sin far alle fire), kanskje med unntak av den største gutten som ser hakket lysere ut.

MEN: dette er også med alle mulige forbehold, de nærmeste ukene vil gi oss svar på detet også. Det vi ihvertfall kan slå fast er at alle åtte har nyyyydelige hoder (som sin mor og far).

Tusen takk igjen til Kennel Silkventure, ved Kerstin Eklund, og kennel Dewmist ved Henric Fryckstrand som har latt oss få lov til å bruke vidunderlige Sidney (Int. champ Multiv. Dewmist Silkventure) til Kerenzas første goldenkull. Nylig ble han ikke bare 2 bis på svenske goldenspesialen. Han deltok også i dual purpose konkurransen, oppnådde 3 pr. på working test og ble nr. 10 av 62 deltakende hunder. Bra jobba, Kerstin og Sidney. Vi er mega stolt av den pappaen dette kullet har.

Og så er vi fra før fryktelig fornøyd med vår egen Alphi, så vi ser med stor spenning fram til at valpene vokser seg til.

Kommer i løpet av ettermiddagen og kvelden. Fie er nemlig på Bjerke i dag og stiller storesøster til våre valper, Dewmist Days of Magic - Cima. Vi er så spente på dette også. Når Fie kommer hjem blir det bilder!!

Alphi is pregnant

Alphi was at ultrasound yesterday, and it showed 5-6 puppies, but it is not impossible that there are more puppies in there!
Puppies are due 17th of August.
